Overview
A global organization specializing in marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions is seeking an Accountant to support accurate financial record-keeping and reporting. The company serves 22,000 clients worldwide, including 93% of the Fortune 100, and employs 32,000 people across 28 countries.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly financial information using relevant support systems
- Prepare journal entries, code invoices and vouchers, reconcile balance sheets, and analyze variances
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
- Review and reconcile receivables and recommend accruals
- Perform basic cost analyses to determine cost distribution across divisions
- Classify labor, material, and overhead costs to calculate unit costs
- Analyze actual versus standard costs and prepare variance reports
- Compile cost data for operating budgets
- Prepare reports and assist in special projects or analyses as requested
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- One year of accounting experience preferred
- Internship experience in accounting or finance is a plus
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to apply proven solutions
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to follow existing processes and receive guidance on complex issues
- Effective verbal and written communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and VLOOKUP
- Ability to quickly learn specialized accounting software
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $52,000 to $76,900 per year, adjustable based on geographic location and other factors
- Compensation considers education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location
