Overview
This is a fully remote position.
The organization operates in the pharmacy benefit management industry, working to connect care and manage pharmacy benefits effectively. This role supports accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting close activities following deadlines and procedures
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules; research and resolve discrepancies
- Review account activities, investigate variances, and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain organized, accurate, audit-ready documentation for accounting processes
- Assist with Medicare Part D premium billing operations, including reporting, reconciliations, and client-related tasks
- Collaborate with the Principal Accountant and team on process improvements, analysis projects, and ad hoc requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent education and/or work experience; high school diploma or GED required
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa or residency sponsorship
- Working knowledge of Excel functions such as lookups, pivot tables, and formulas; proficiency with Word
- Understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial close processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with general ledger, account reconciliation, premium billing, or other financial systems
- Experience researching account variances, preparing journal entries, and supporting reconciliations
Compensation & Benefits
- Potential pay range: $23.08 to $37.02 per hour, based on experience and skills
