Accountant Financial Analyst Senior

Overview

An academic medical center is seeking a Senior Accountant Financial Analyst to join their Clinical Research Support Office. This full-time, fully remote position supports clinical research administration by managing financial aspects of clinical trials and research projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as financial project manager for assigned clinical research projects
• Develop and support research project budgets, ensuring inclusion of indirect, pass-through, and one-time costs
• Provide training and education on clinical trial post-award management to departments and clinical research groups
• Negotiate directly with clinical trial sponsors, review and prepare responses to budget offers and counteroffers
• Enter final budget terms into the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) required; related experience may substitute for education
• Minimum of 4 years related experience
• Ability to sit for extended periods using computer and telephone
• Work hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, with occasional early or late meetings
• Fully remote work arrangement

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $48,214 to $79,560 per year
