Accountant II

Overview

This role is an Accountant II position on the Combat Mission Systems accounting team. The position is a general accounting role focused mainly on monthly close tasks, including preparing journal entries and project expenditure batches, completing account reconciliations, and reconciling bank statements. Work is performed independently and in a team environment, applying accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries
• Perform monthly account reconciliations
• Run bank reports weekly
• Enter wire payments weekly
• Reconcile bank reports weekly/monthly
• Serve as the primary point of contact for banking activities
• Track property tax payments and prepare monthly journals
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Maintain and monitor internal controls
• Collaborate with other departments
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and 2 years' work experience or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of accounting concepts
• Ability to prioritize and stay on task in a remote work environment
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Suite experience, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle ERP experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-Time Salary Range: $61278 - $104173
