Overview
This role involves maintaining lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842 and developing a detailed understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting.
The position supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance, and requires preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses and related journal entries. Additional responsibilities include reconciling balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving variances, completing special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership, and staying current with accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards from FASB, SEC, and PCAOB.

Responsibilities
- Maintain lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly analyses and journal entries related to lease accounting.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve variances promptly.
- Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
- Complete special projects and analyses as assigned.
- Monitor and analyze changes in accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards affecting lease accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate accounting.
- Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.
