Overview
The organization is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its team. This role supports clients across a range of industries, including small businesses, non-profit organizations, and individual taxpayers, by delivering accurate and timely accounting and tax services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including trial balances, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and manage tax returns, including business, nonprofit, individual, sales, and payroll taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations
- Manage client accounts and provide financial advice
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to provide accurate guidance
- Collaborate with team members to improve internal processes and support overall efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accounting, financial analysis, tax preparation, financial reporting, auditing, and bookkeeping
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $35,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
