Accountant (Permanent work from home)

Overview

An Accountant role is available for permanent work from home, supporting a range of accounting activities in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the NOAM Team Lead, this position is based in Manila and involves collaboration with the wider Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies across assigned accounts.
• Process billing and payment uploads and prepare month-end accruals for reseller commissions.
• Prepare monthly payroll balance sheet reconciliations across salaries, payroll taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related accounts.
• Reconcile payroll actuals, accruals, and payments across Canadian subsidiaries.
• Record payroll-related accruals and reclassifications, including RRSP, retention bonuses, restructuring, and source deductions.
• Review goods received not invoiced (GRNI) and open purchase orders to support expense accruals.
• Prepare month-over-month and budget variance analysis across payroll, benefits, operating expenses, marketing, legal, and other expense categories.
• Prepare subsidiary reporting packages with clear variance commentary.
• Collaborate with non-finance stakeholders and FP&A to investigate and resolve variances, accrual discrepancies, and reconciliation issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar accounting role.
• CPA qualification.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Fluency in English.
• Work NOAM EST hours.
