Overview
An organization operating in the education and finance sector is seeking an Accounting and Finance Analyst to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support financial management processes. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, compliance, and collaboration with project teams to facilitate smooth business functions and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and vendor payments
- Support corporate card management, employee expense processing, and payroll-related transactions using Sage Intacct
- Maintain accurate financial records through transaction entry, account coding, and data validation in Sage Intacct
- Perform reconciliations for key accounts and assist with month-end close preparations
- Update and maintain project financials in Salesforce and Sage Intacct, including budgets and data integrity
- Collaborate with project managers and consulting teams for project financial tracking and reporting
- Assist with collaborator and vendor invoice workflows, contract administration, and grant reporting data collection
- Maintain documentation to support internal controls, audits, and compliance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning through data preparation and analysis
- Track budget-to-actuals, identify variances, and report trends and risks to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar finance role
- Comfortable managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and data analysis
- Experience working in fast-paced environments managing multiple priorities
- Initiative-driven with a resourceful and solution-oriented approach
- Detail-oriented with strong ownership of work
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Clear and professional communication skills with both finance and non-finance colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Salesforce is highly desirable
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $73,600 annually
- Location-based supplement of 1-5% of base salary for employees in higher cost-of-living areas
- 100% remote position within the U.S.
