Overview
This is a fully remote Accounting Associate I role supporting the Finance team. The position handles daily accounting tasks, including transaction entry, accounts receivable/payable activities, payroll data management, and support for financial close and audits.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role helps maintain accurate financial records and supports ongoing financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Enter daily transactions into QuickBooks Online following established procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoice follow-up and collections.
- Process vendor invoices in expense tracking systems and monitor payments.
- Support payroll processing by compiling necessary payroll data.
- Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close activities.
- Help prepare documentation for financial and 401(k) audits.
- Participate in ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support (internships considered).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with macOS, GSuite, and QuickBooks Online.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Slack, Ramp, and Rippling.
- Knowledge of accounting in Healthcare or Technology sectors.
- Experience working remotely.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary range: $42,000 to $50,000.
