Overview
An organization is seeking experienced accounting instructors to contribute to the development of AI systems by ensuring accurate understanding of financial concepts. This role involves reviewing and improving AI training datasets related to accounting principles, directly impacting the quality of AI financial reasoning.
- Type: Hourly / Task-based Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate accounting questions, explanations, and worked examples used in AI training datasets
- Assess accuracy of content covering financial statements, bookkeeping, managerial accounting, and internal controls
- Identify errors, edge cases, and misleading or incomplete explanations
- Provide clear, structured feedback to enhance precision and pedagogical quality of AI outputs
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project milestones on a flexible schedule
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching accounting at the postsecondary or professional level
- Strong knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles
- Ability to critically evaluate written quantitative and rule-based reasoning
- Detail-oriented with comfort reviewing structured content at scale
- Self-motivated and reliable in a remote, asynchronous work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or Master's degree in Accounting
- Practical experience in auditing, financial analysis, or applied accounting roles
- Familiarity with AI systems, model evaluation, or data annotation workflows
