Accounting Manager, Revenue

Overview

A global digital sports platform serving over 100 million sports fans worldwide is seeking an Accounting Manager, Revenue to join their Betting & Gaming division. The platform offers products and services across sports commerce, collectibles, and betting, partnering with approximately 900 sports properties including professional leagues, teams, colleges, athletes, and retail partners. The organization has a retail presence with over 2,000 locations and employs more than 22,000 people.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the monthly revenue close process ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Review revenue share calculations, account reconciliations, and accounts receivable matching
• Develop and improve processes for journal entry preparation and recording
• Oversee data flows and system dependencies related to financial reporting
• Support initiatives such as new product launches, cost of revenue analysis, and ad-hoc requests
• Analyze financial results and variances, identify trends, and recommend actions
• Maintain documentation and SOX control readiness as the business grows
• Lead revenue accounting for state audits and regulatory reviews
• Ensure compliance with GAAP revenue accounting practices
• Coordinate external audit requests including preparation and follow-up
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of revenue accounting professionals
• Be available for occasional travel to various offices and events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
• 5-7 years of experience in revenue accounting, accounting operations, or related finance roles
• Experience building cross-functional relationships and partnering with senior leaders
• Working knowledge of US GAAP related to revenue recognition and internal controls
• Proactive thinker able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments
• Commitment to process development and continuous improvement
• Experience managing annual audits
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis software
• Effective organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $87,500—$106,250 USD
• Salary ranges vary by country and state based on geographical zones
• Compensation includes base salary, bonus, and full-time employment benefits
