Overview
An organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist to assist in creating high-quality financial datasets that support the development of advanced AI systems. This role involves partnering with leading AI research labs to produce structured and accurate accounting data used for financial reasoning and model evaluation.
This is a fully remote, hourly contract position with flexible hours, allowing you to work on your own schedule.
Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, ledgers, and accounting disclosures
- Extract and organize data into standardized Excel templates
- Validate calculations, formulas, and formatting to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Identify errors or inconsistencies in source materials
- Support recurring tasks related to dataset creation, structuring, and cleanup
- Ensure datasets meet quality standards required for AI training and evaluation
Requirements
- Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial discipline
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including building and validating structured datasets
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in audit, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial operations, or corporate accounting
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards such as GAAP or IFRS
- Prior experience with data structuring or analytical workflows
