Accounting Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

Overview

This role involves leveraging accounting expertise to enhance the capabilities of advanced AI language models focused on financial applications. The position requires deep knowledge in financial reporting, auditing, tax compliance, cost accounting, management accounting, and financial analysis to help train AI systems on complex accounting standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Engage in detailed conversations with AI models on real-world accounting scenarios and theoretical financial questions.
• Verify the factual accuracy and logical consistency of AI responses related to GAAP, IFRS, ledger reconciliation, internal controls, cash flow forecasting, tax code interpretation, budgeting strategies, and more.
• Document and analyze failure modes and reproducible error traces to improve model reasoning.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, auditing, tax compliance, cost accounting, management accounting, and financial analysis.
• CPA licensure or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with financial audits, tax preparation, or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to communicate clearly and metacognitively, including "showing your work" and explaining reasoning.
• Access to a secure computer and high-speed internet connection.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
• This is a contract position; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply.
