Overview

A growing telehealth organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to manage and scale the accounts payable function. This role is critical to maintaining the vendor payment ecosystem, ensuring accurate invoice processing, clean and compliant general ledger coding, and timely month-end accounts payable close activities. The position involves collaboration with senior accounting staff and cross-functional teams to support financial operations in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing using NetSuite and Ramp, including invoice intake, GL coding, account and department classification, approval routing, and payment execution, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Lead month-end close activities for AP-related accounts such as accounts payable, prepaids, and accruals, delivering fully reconciled balances with supporting documentation.
  • Act as the primary contact for vendor communications and cross-functional AP inquiries, handling payment questions, resolving disputes, and supporting vendor onboarding.
  • Oversee corporate card and expense reconciliations in Brex, ensuring timely coding, approvals, and month-end tie-out.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging automation and AI tools to enhance AP efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or tech-enabled company.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Ramp is required; familiarity with Brex is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL coding, and month-end close processes, including prepaids, accruals, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing vendor relationships and cross-functional stakeholder inquiries.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing high invoice volumes and competing deadlines independently.
  • Comfortable using AI and automation tools to streamline repetitive AP tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $76,000–$85,000 USD annually
