Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

This Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist position plays a key role in the finance department, supporting timely payments on behalf of the organization. The role requires a high level of discretion, along with financial and fiduciary responsibility to help maintain the organization’s financial integrity. Managing cash flow is of paramount importance.

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements.
• Perform financial analysis on various projects.
• Report on financial metrics as necessary.
• Maintain track of assets and liabilities.
• Assist with financial project management.
• Attend meetings, conferences, and lead presentations as required.
• Help guide assigned group forward with financial responsibility at hand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Advanced degree is a bonus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of transportation operations preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $24–$25 per hour
