Overview
An equipment rental supplier with extensive operations across North America is seeking an Accounts Payable Agent to manage invoice processing, resolve payment issues, and support month-end closing activities.
Responsibilities
- Run and analyze daily Invoices on Hold reports
- Manage and resolve issues from the Unaccounted Report daily
- Run and work the Aging Report daily
- Research and analyze duplicate invoice reports
- Conduct outstanding credit research and recovery efforts
- Investigate and resolve Purchase Order (PO) overbilling and receiving discrepancies
- Problem solve and resolve header invoice exception holds
- Research outstanding invoices from inquiries and resolve unpaid invoices
- Update supplier statements
- Key invoices for assigned suppliers
- Communicate with Field Managers, Requestors, Directors, and Suppliers to resolve payment issues and holds
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and voicemail
- Support process standardization, process improvement, and ad hoc projects as assigned by the AP manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent relevant experience
Skills
- Basic project management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills
- Strong independent problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $21.00 to $23.50 per hour (salary subject to discretion based on qualifications, experience, location, and fit)
