Overview
This role involves generating invoices for various types of government contracts, including cost reimbursable, time and material, progress payments, firm fixed price, and sales orders. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customer billings for projects in accordance with contract terms and guidelines.
- Submit invoices electronically to government and non-government customers using Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and other electronic methods as required by the contract.
- Ensure billing setup in Costpoint supports invoicing according to contractual agreements.
- Maintain billing schedules to ensure contracts are billed on time.
- Investigate, analyze, escalate, and resolve accounts receivable issues.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Contracts, and Program Management teams to ensure prompt and accurate billing.
- Assist internal and external customers with billing inquiries, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and timeliness.
- Maintain electronic project billing files to ensure all documentation is preserved for audit purposes.
- Deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience with Deltek, CostPoint, or other ERP systems is required.
- Government contracting experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Must pass post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to routinely climb and descend stairs.
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees, and reach above/below shoulders.
- Work performed in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
