Overview
A dynamic organization in the active lifestyle sector is seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Accounts Receivable Clerk for temporary coverage. This role supports the finance team and will last approximately 12 weeks, starting as soon as possible. Weekly hours will vary between 20-30 hours depending on business needs. The position is fully remote and may be performed in Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound collection calls and send professional emails to follow up on overdue invoices.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Customer Account Specialist to identify high-priority accounts and implement tailored collection strategies.
- Maintain customer files by updating contact information and detailed notes regarding payment status and promises to pay.
- Provide weekly reports on the status of "at-risk" accounts and overall collections progress.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with a "firm but fair" approach; comfortable handling difficult conversations professionally over the phone.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general customer service preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and data entry) and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume of emails and calls without missing details.
- Reliability and consistency in scheduling to ensure no gaps in the collection cycle, given the part-time nature of the role.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $20 to $25 per hour, varying based on location, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
