Overview

A leading insurance technology organization is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join their accounting team. This hybrid role primarily involves remote work with occasional in-office collaboration and team-building activities. The position is local to the Chicago market.

Responsibilities

  • Apply customer payments to appropriate trade receivables in the accounting system
  • Reconcile customer payment activity to bank deposits
  • Communicate and follow up with customers regarding accounts receivable
  • Collaborate with the accounts receivable team and team manager
  • Review accounts receivable aging reports
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of practical accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Understanding of core collections concepts including accounts receivable, cash application, customer communication, and management
  • Familiarity with basic accounting terminology and procedures
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, but equivalent professional experience is highly valued

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite
  • Familiarity with accounting for foreign currencies, such as the Canadian Dollar
  • Self-motivated with eagerness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and reliable

Compensation & Benefits

  • Targeted starting base salary range: $46,000 - $54,500 (U.S.)
  • Salary determined by experience, skills, and responsibilities
