Overview
A subsidiary of a well-established accounting and consulting firm is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to provide billing and revenue cycle services to healthcare clients. These clients include professional practices, hospitals, diagnostic and treatment centers, OPWDD, OASAS, nursing homes, home health agencies, legal entities, and third-party payers.
Responsibilities
- Provide revenue cycle support to clients, team members, and firm employees.
- Perform outsourced billing service duties such as charge entry, payment posting, claims submission and follow-up, coding, and auditing.
- Oversee cash recovery projects, including supervising staff, monitoring productivity, and preparing monthly reports.
- Conduct diagnostic reviews of revenue cycles to identify opportunities for best practice improvements and prepare written reports.
- Deliver revenue cycle, billing, and coding training sessions for clients and team members.
- Identify opportunities to enhance services for individual clients and recommend adjustments as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree.
- At least five years of billing experience in physician, hospital, or nursing home environments.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
- Solid understanding of revenue cycle processes.
- Willingness to travel within New York State; occasional overnight travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Billing certification.
- Familiarity with ePACES and FISS DDE systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $58,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience.
Work Hours
- Standard office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Summer hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods is required.
