Overview
A healthcare organization providing home and community care services, including skilled nursing and assisted living, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative. The organization serves a broad geographic area including Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington, supporting a large network of hospitals, clinics, and social services with approximately 120,000 caregivers. The role focuses on managing billing and collections from insurance carriers and agencies to maintain the financial integrity of the revenue cycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage timely and accurate billing and collections from insurance carriers and agencies
- Focus primarily on skilled nursing and assisted living billing and follow-up
- Support additional service lines such as self-pay, subacute, and ancillary services as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reimbursement and collections
- Maintain compliance with insurance contracts and Medicare/Medicaid regulations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a healthcare environment focused on reimbursement and collections
- Knowledge of insurance contracts and Medicare/Medicaid regulations
- Preferred: College-level courses in medical front office or medical billing
- Preferred: Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) system
Compensation
- Salary ranges vary by location, for example:
- Anchorage, AK: $21.16 to $32.37 per hour
- Northern California (excluding Humboldt): $24.74 to $37.85 per hour
- Portland, OR area: $21.16 to $32.37 per hour
- Eastern Washington: $18.83 to $28.80 per hour
- Final placement within the wage range depends on relevant experience and other factors
- Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, incentives, or bonuses
