Overview
This full-time, remote position is responsible for the timely and accurate billing and collection of payments from insurance carriers, agencies, and other payers for services provided by Home and Community Care Services. The focus is primarily on skilled nursing and assisted living billing and follow-up, with potential to support self-pay, subacute, and ancillary services.
Responsibilities
- Manage billing and collections processes for various service lines within Home and Community Care Services.
- Follow up on claims and payments with insurance carriers and agencies.
- Ensure compliance with insurance contracts and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Potentially float between different service areas including self-pay, subacute, and ancillary services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a healthcare environment with emphasis on reimbursement and collections.
- Experience with insurance contracts and/or Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- College-level coursework or training in medical front office or medical billing.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) software.

Salary ranges vary by location as follows:
- Alaska (Anchorage): $21.16 - $32.37 per hour
- Alaska (Kodiak, Seward, Valdez): $22.05 - $33.74 per hour
- California (Humboldt): $22.05 - $33.74 per hour
- California (Northern California except Humboldt): $24.74 - $37.85 per hour
- California (Southern California except Bakersfield): $22.05 - $33.74 per hour
- California (Bakersfield): $21.16 - $32.37 per hour
- Montana (except Great Falls): $17.03 - $26.06 per hour
- Montana (Great Falls): $16.14 - $24.69 per hour
- Oregon (Non-Portland Service Area): $19.72 - $30.17 per hour
- Oregon (Portland Service Area): $21.16 - $32.37 per hour
- Washington (Western except Tukwila): $22.05 - $33.74 per hour
- Washington (Southwest - Olympia, Centralia & below): $21.16 - $32.37 per hour
- Washington (Tukwila): $22.05 - $33.74 per hour
- Washington (Eastern): $18.83 - $28.80 per hour
- Washington (South Eastern): $19.72 - $30.17 per hour
Placement within the salary range will be based on relevant experience and other factors. Additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses may be available.
