Overview

A rapidly scaling fintech organization is seeking an Adjustment Analyst to join their Adjustments team. This role focuses on supporting the day-to-day administration of clients’ 401(k) plans by ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. The position requires a process-driven and people-focused individual who is organized, adaptive, and strategic, ready to contribute to building operational processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile 401(k)-related customer and account data.
  • Process customer transactions including contributions and distributions.
  • Develop expertise in operational processes and serve as a knowledge resource for internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain process and policy documentation.
  • Provide transactional support to operations teams during high volume periods, product development, or prioritized business needs.
  • Complete assignments within service level agreements (SLA) while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Trace transaction information through the recordkeeping lifecycle to identify root causes.
  • Problem-solve and propose solutions to operational challenges.
  • Track data on root cause analysis, responsibility, and financial impact.
  • Establish cross-functional relationships and processes to address clients’ corrective needs.
  • Ensure all corrections comply with fiduciary responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet performance goals.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of task ownership and determination to overcome challenges.
  • Ability to identify and communicate process improvements.
  • Desire to actively participate in a highly engaged team.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in 401(k) or banking operations preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within 401(k) plan operations or banking environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly base salary range: $28.22 - $29.81, determined by geographic location, relevant skills, and experience.
  • Potential additional compensation components such as bonuses, commissions, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
