Analyst

Overview

• Fully remote role
• Works within the non-bank financial services sector supporting mortgage servicing and originations
• Role focuses on managing a portfolio of non-performing commercial and residential mortgage loans and supporting special servicing risk management

Responsibilities

• Review loan accounting and verify calculations for legal demands
• Manage inbound communication from borrowers and internal teams
• Analyze property valuation and inspection reports
• Review property operating data from borrowers or property managers
• Examine commercial loan documents for borrower obligations
• Monitor performing loan reports to identify risk of transfer to special servicing
• Track property tax and insurance status for assigned loans
• Serve as liaison with external special servicers
• Administer requests and instructions from external servicers and asset managers
• Maintain accurate system data and reporting
• Collaborate regularly with offshore and internal resources
• Review servicing agreements for responsibilities and deadlines
• Manage invoices and reports from third-party vendors
• Support primary servicing representatives with borrower outreach and market analysis
• Ensure compliance with training, audits, and reporting requirements
• Identify operational issues and propose solutions
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience with defaulted commercial loans
• Understanding of commercial loan documents, covenants, and compliance
• Knowledge of commercial real estate income property documents
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience meeting detailed reporting requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and adjust to priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe, and loan servicing software
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
• Successful completion of background screening and any applicable licensing

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $48,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications
• Performance-based bonus eligibility, subject to applicable plans
