Overview
This role involves supporting the financial operations team by managing day-to-day payment processing, data reconciliation, and quality control. The position requires collaboration with business development, internal operations, and product teams to analyze accounting flows and support strategic business decisions. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Operations, the analyst will play a key role in maintaining data accuracy and improving financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate quality control for payments processing to and from customers and vendors.
- Maintain high standards for quality assurance.
- Create reconciliations and verify data accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in decision-making when exceptions or process deviations occur.
- Initiate new procedures including setup, training, and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and adhere to security policies.
- Collaborate with non-finance teams to troubleshoot and research issues.
- Assist with audit requests by compiling data and explaining processes.
- Validate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Build data pipelines to extract and transform data for reconciliation purposes.
- Develop processes to improve ongoing data governance.
- Create presentations, visualizations, and reports to communicate analysis outcomes and recommendations.
- Draw informed conclusions to clarify business product insights.
- Apply critical thinking to review data and identify patterns.
- Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent combination of accounting knowledge and data analysis experience.
- Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours starting at 8:00 AM.
- Regular and predictable attendance with schedule flexibility, including availability for short notice, extended hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to 100% accuracy.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and professional behavior.
- Strong teamwork skills with frequent coordination among team members.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to keep up with frequent changes to products, carriers, and dealers.
- Proficiency in Excel for analyzing large data sets, including intermediate formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Query and Power BI is a strong plus.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is a strong plus.
- Skills may be subject to assessment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually.
- Target 5% annual performance bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Final compensation depends on location, expertise, skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
