Overview
A global technology organization is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their Credit Department. This team manages credit lines and exposures worldwide, supporting collections and partnering with sales, finance, and legal teams to maintain strong customer relationships while mitigating credit risk. The role involves performing credit assessments and limit recommendations using in-house analysis of customer financials, payment behavior, and market intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal departments to secure customer data and financial statements
- Conduct credit analysis for new and existing customers to assess credit risk
- Perform detailed financial analysis and provide recommendations to support management decisions
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses, executive summaries, and recurring reports
- Monitor and analyze key economic indicators across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the global customer portfolio
- Perform cash flow analysis and develop customer forecasts
- Research and develop new techniques and solutions for credit challenges
- Provide critical updates on customers' financial conditions to relevant teams
- Partner with Sales and Sales Operations to support order management decisions by monitoring credit exposure, past-due trends, and dispute risks
- Coordinate credit and collections efforts globally with close communication across regions
- Enforce credit policies and procedures, including maintaining and updating desktop procedures
- Assist with SOX controls, compliance procedures, and perform ad-hoc control tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in credit analysis or quantitative roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (fluency in Chinese is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies
- Ability to interpret and synthesize financial data, news, and market intelligence
- Basic understanding of credit risk mitigation strategies and systems
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines with varying supervision
- Proactive approach to environmental changes, legislation, market movements, and compliance
- Process improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and service quality

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing mathematical and statistical models
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, industry/market credit research, and country risk assessment
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including negotiation and dispute resolution
- Familiarity with SAP systems
- Experience working in large multinational corporations
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary range: $59,300 - $84,700, depending on work location, skills, experience, and education
