Overview

A financial technology organization is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Credit team within the Risk & Analytics department. This team plays a critical role in shaping business strategy by designing experiments, analyzing performance, and building analytical frameworks to optimize resource allocation and growth. The Credit team collaborates cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial teams to manage the risk profile responsibly and enable sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced data analytics to generate insights and optimize credit strategies
  • Conduct portfolio analytics including investigations of out-of-trend behavior and attribution analysis
  • Collaborate with Machine Learning and Engineering teams to develop monitoring tools and credit risk capabilities
  • Monitor portfolio performance alongside macroeconomic trends affecting loan outcomes
  • Drive adjustments to underwriting and marketing strategies to mitigate risk
  • Enhance the end-to-end portfolio management monitoring framework

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst; experience in consumer credit risk management is strongly preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn about data, models, and algorithms
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple teams
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for deriving insights from data and driving change based on those insights

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range for U.S. employees:
    • $140,000 to $190,000 per year for CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT
    • $124,000 to $174,000 per year for all other U.S. states

Location

This is a remote-first role with flexibility to work from almost anywhere within the country of employment. Some roles may require occasional presence at an assigned office depending on job responsibilities.
