Accounting Oversight & Controllership

  • Proactively assess the accounting implications of new products, features, and business models as they are developed (including revenue recognition, cost treatment, entity/legal structuring, and controls).
  • Partner with Product, R&D, Legal, and Operations to ensure new ancillary initiatives are structured and launched with sound financial reporting and controls in place from day one.
  • Provide financial analysis, profitability assessments, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions for new or evolving ancillary offerings.
  • Translate complex or ambiguous new business activity into practical accounting guidance for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for the ancillary product portfolio, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting managers, controllers, and analysts supporting the ancillary product lines.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiencies across the ancillary products accounting function.

  • Proven experience managing and developing accounting staff.
  • Excellent business partnering, communication, and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with senior business and product leaders.
