Overview
This remote Financial Analyst role, based in New Jersey, supports financial valuation engagements for financial reporting, tax, and transaction-related purposes. The position involves financial modeling, industry research, valuation analysis, client presentation development, and preparation of high-quality deliverables. The analyst will gain hands-on experience in business valuation, equity and debt valuation, intangible asset appraisal, and financial statement analysis across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
- Assist with business valuations, equity and debt valuations, and intangible asset appraisals.
- Develop financial models and valuation analyses using discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiples, and precedent transactions.
- Conduct economic and industry research to support valuation conclusions.
- Analyze financial statements, tax filings, and company performance for valuation purposes.
- Prepare valuation reports, client presentations, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with senior valuation professionals to execute client engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- 1-3 years in business valuation, financial analysis, or related fields.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, financial databases, and valuation software.
- Ability to analyze large datasets, assess financial trends, and interpret valuation results.
