Overview

A remote full-time Bilingual Bookkeeper position is available for candidates residing in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, or Montana. Fluency in Spanish—reading, writing, and speaking—is required.

This role involves providing bookkeeping and accounting support to churches and ministries, ensuring accurate financial reporting and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Clock in and out daily via Slack and respond accurately to workflow questions.
  • Use Clockify daily to track time worked on each client account with appropriate tags.
  • Follow the established bookkeeping workflow and maintain all related administrative console information (e.g., reminders, contact info, notes, QuickBooks).
  • Onboard new clients and engage them effectively in the bookkeeping service.
  • Apply accounting principles to generate accurate financial reports for clients.
  • Manage a workload of 30-40 clients or 160-170 bookkeeping hours per month, adjusting capacity if additional responsibilities are assigned.
  • Submit renewal information accurately and on time.
  • Deliver client reports punctually and maintain a high standard of service to prevent cancellations or service failures.
  • Maintain monthly goals including:
    • Delivering reports to 65% of clients within the first 7 business days.
    • Delivering reports to 85% of clients within 14 business days.
    • Ensuring all clients receive at least a partial or complete report by month-end or have an approved ineligible status.
    • Providing meaningful client touchpoints monthly, with biweekly calls for clients with 3+ months of ineligible or partial reports.
    • Calling all clients every 60 days.
    • Keeping report error rates under 12% monthly.

Requirements

  • Must reside in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, or Montana.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish (read, write, speak).
  • Ability to answer phone calls when supporting the care team.
  • Adherence to time off policies, including requesting and obtaining approval via Slack before taking leave.
  • Complete assigned work within a 40-hour workweek; overtime requires prior approval.
  • Maintain professional meeting etiquette, including attendance and engagement during virtual meetings.
  • Submit payroll on time and accurately.
  • Maintain and respond to emails and voicemails within 24 hours.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with clients to foster strong relationships and obtain necessary information.
  • Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and dependability.
  • Follow through on tasks and requests from team leaders, Directors, and Vice Presidents.
  • Mitigate cancellations and service failures; more than two service failure cancellations within six months may result in a performance improvement plan.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for serving clients.
  • Experience with bookkeeping workflows and accounting principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
