Overview

A remote full-time Bilingual Bookkeeper position is available for candidates residing in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, or Montana. Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.

This role involves providing bookkeeping and accounting support to churches and ministries, ensuring accurate financial reporting and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Clock in and out daily via Slack and respond accurately to workflow questions.
  • Use Clockify daily to track time worked on each client account with appropriate tags.
  • Follow the established bookkeeping workflow and maintain all related administrative console information (e.g., reminders, contact info, notes, QuickBooks data).
  • Onboard new clients and engage them effectively in the bookkeeping service.
  • Apply accounting principles to generate accurate and factual financial reports for clients.
  • Manage a workload of 30-40 clients or 160-170 bookkeeping hours per month; capacity may vary with additional responsibilities.
  • Submit renewal information accurately and on time.
  • Deliver client reports punctually and maintain high-quality service to mitigate cancellations and service failures.
  • Maintain client communication with meaningful monthly touchpoints; call clients biweekly if they have 3+ months of ineligible or partial reports, and at least every 60 days otherwise.
  • Ensure report error rates remain under 12% monthly.
  • Attend all required meetings with cameras on and actively engage.
  • Submit payroll on time and accurately.
  • Respond to all emails and voicemails within 24 hours.

Monthly Goals

  • 65% of assigned clients receive a report within the first 7 business days.
  • 85% of assigned clients receive a report within 14 business days.
  • By month-end, all clients should have received a partial or complete report or be in an approved ineligible status.

Requirements

  • Must reside in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, or Montana.
  • Must read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.
  • Ability to answer phone calls when supporting the care team.
  • Adherence to time off policies, including reporting and approval via Slack.
  • Ability to complete assigned work within a 40-hour workweek; overtime requires prior approval.
  • Dependability in attendance and work schedule.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain respectful and effective client relationships.
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and requests from team leaders and management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with bookkeeping workflows and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
