Overview
A global consulting firm specializing in strategic advisory, project management, and dispute resolution services is seeking a Billing Operations Supervisor. This role is essential to the billing team, providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the accounting department. The organization works with clients on a billable project basis, and this position involves client project setup, billing, client record maintenance, and project reporting.
Responsibilities
Business Development, Leadership, and Management
- Establish new client project records in the accounting system.
- Prepare and send client invoices accurately.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to resolve client billing discrepancies.
- Review client records and project financial data for completeness and accuracy.
- Work closely with Project Managers on contract administration.
- Support other departments regarding accounting procedures and requirements.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Create and distribute billing reports.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Operations
- Lead and manage in support of strategic plans aligned with the organization’s vision and business objectives.
- Manage practice development to achieve profit objectives.
- Support the construction of strong cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
- Manage assigned projects consistent with contracts and proactively alert leadership to potential challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations, as well as company policies.
- Ensure consistent high quality on deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience without a degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures and related computer applications.
- Proficient in computer data entry and management with speed and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Dependable with ownership of work and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Deltek Accounting and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Salary Ranges by Geographical Tier
- Tier AA (e.g., NY Metro, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle): $73,000 - $199,000 annually
- Tier A (e.g., Irvine CA, Middlesex NJ, Tacoma WA, Boston, Alexandria): $67,000 - $184,000 annually
- Tier B (e.g., Baltimore, Chicago, Anchorage, Portland): $62,000 - $168,000 annually
Starting compensation is based on experience, location, role scope, and organizational affordability, with structured ranges to support career growth and performance.
Location
Multiple locations across the United States, including but not limited to New York Metro, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Irvine CA, Middlesex NJ, Tacoma WA, Boston, Alexandria, Baltimore, Chicago, Anchorage, and Portland.
