Overview
This role supports a healthcare organization specializing in infusion therapy. The organization focuses on improving patient experiences by providing clear, supportive, and connected infusion care services. It emphasizes faster therapy initiation, dedicated care coordination, and collaboration among clinicians and partners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit insurance claims for home infusion services, including medications, nursing, and supplies
- Process electronic pharmacy claims to Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Verify that prescription reimbursement data is complete, accurate, and submitted before weekly and month-end close
- Ensure documentation matches billed services, codes, and expected reimbursements
- Review and apply payments accurately to patient accounts through final resolution
- Maintain knowledge of payer contracts, coverage criteria, and reimbursement guidelines
- Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally
- Stay updated on billing regulations, coding guidelines, and payer requirements
- Collaborate with clearinghouses and billing systems to support clean claims and efficient workflows
- Assist with data entry and other clerical billing tasks as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of medical billing and collections experience
- Experience in customer service for internal and external stakeholders
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of medical billing and collections experience
- Prior home infusion therapy billing experience
- Experience with billing systems such as CareTend or CPR+
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $25–$27 USD per hour
