Overview

A profitable, growth-stage company in the PropTech industry is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to manage the invoicing process and support financial operations. The organization offers AI and data SaaS products serving the multifamily housing market with a large customer base and strong growth.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume invoice creation, review, and processing daily and monthly to ensure timely billing with zero backlogs.
  • Maintain and update customer master files with precise data entry to ensure 100% accuracy of billing records.
  • Audit customer profiles regularly to verify billing addresses, contact information, and delivery routing to prevent invoice returns and payment delays.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve billing discrepancies before invoice distribution to minimize disputes and accelerate payments.
  • Respond promptly to customer billing inquiries, providing clear explanations of charges, invoices, and payment processes.
  • Collaborate proactively with external clients and internal teams to resolve payment issues and clarify billing instructions for new accounts.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact to build and maintain long-term trust with customers.
  • Support Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth billing instructions from deal closure onward.
  • Investigate billing errors or inquiries and issue credit memos or adjustments under supervision.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure all billable revenue is accurately captured and reported.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in billing or a similar finance role.
  • Experience in the Multifamily or PropTech industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
