Overview

A consulting firm specializing in acoustics and audio quality control is seeking a qualified individual for an immediate 3+ month contract role as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. The firm is nationally and internationally recognized for projects in museums, exhibit spaces, luxury residences, private theaters, recording and broadcast studios, and other commercial and institutional environments. Clients include corporate executives, celebrities, royalty, and top museums.

This is a fully remote position reporting directly to the Managing Director/Partner. Compensation is flexible and commensurate with experience. There is potential for part-time continuation beyond the initial 3-month period.

Responsibilities

  • Perform core bookkeeping functions primarily using QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Maintain records of financial transactions by posting and filing documents
  • Invoice clients according to contracts
  • Track accounts receivable through email and phone communications
  • Manage accounts payable
  • Verify and post transactions such as check deposits
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
  • Produce and analyze financial reports, advising management on necessary actions
  • Update client project reports
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including:
    • QuickBooks Monthly Profit & Loss Report
    • QuickBooks Year-to-Date Profit & Loss Report
    • Monthly Invoicing Report
    • Monthly Revenue Report
    • Monthly Client Statements
    • Accounts Receivables Report
    • Accounts Payables Report
    • Consultant Hours and Billability Percentage
    • Subcontractor Report
  • Perform related functions such as research and reporting, scheduling conference calls with clients, and coordinating travel arrangements with outside vendors

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, thorough, and self-motivated

  • Rate your overall experience with QuickBooks Desktop on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being expert). For each function (invoicing, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting), provide your experience level.

  • Indicate if you have previously signed an Employee Proprietary Agreement or Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • Indicate if you have been added to a Certificate of Insurance and/or Surety Bond.
  • Describe any experience with QuickBooks Desktop add-ons, especially those related to consulting businesses.
