Overview
A rapidly growing organization is seeking a finance professional to support the financial operations of three active companies: two flooring businesses and one e-commerce venture. This role is focused on strengthening internal financial operations and coordinating day-to-day financial activities across multiple business units.
The position is primarily for a highly skilled Bookkeeper, but candidates with more advanced accounting experience and strong technical and operational judgment will also be considered. The level of hire will depend on the candidate's expertise and demonstrated aptitude.
This role requires familiarity with U.S. accounting and bookkeeping practices and the ability to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions across three companies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections follow-ups, and payment schedule coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure invoices are reviewed, documented, and processed for payment according to company policies.
- Maintain financial records and perform daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO), ensuring accurate transaction categorization and proper documentation.
- Keep organized financial records across multiple entities and assist in preparing internal financial reports.
- Support leadership by tracking upcoming payments, receivables, and short-term cash flow needs to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, documentation standards, and internal processes to support operational scalability.
- Prepare financial summaries and provide leadership with the financial visibility needed for operational decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of professional bookkeeping and/or accounting experience managing books for multiple entities concurrently.
- Deep proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English is strongly required; fluency in Spanish is highly valued.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and experience managing books for U.S. companies.
- Candidates located anywhere in Latin America (LATAM) are welcome; preference is given to those based in Brazil or Colombia due to language and regional familiarity.
