Overview
This full-time Associate-level Bookkeeper role supports a tours-and-activities marketplace connecting travelers, travel advisors, tour operators, excursions, transfers, bookings, content, and partners. The practical objective is maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and managing exceptions.
Work should be traceable from source to outcome—showing what was used, what changed, what remains open, and who owns the next action.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing, ensuring traceable records of what was used, what changed, and what remains open.
- Track unresolved financial exceptions and support follow-up until exceptions have owners and can be resolved.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation to support audit support needs.
- Protect confidential account information and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Review financial inputs against supporting records and clearly document findings so another authorized teammate can follow the reasoning.
Success Standard
Success means accurate financial records, reconciliation, and exception handling that remain usable under marketplace operating demands. Repeated errors should become visible, exceptions should have owners, and another authorized teammate should be able to verify the state of the work without reconstructing its history.
Requirements
- Proficiency in bookkeeping-focused workflows that support financial record maintenance, reconciliation, invoice review, payment tracking, account review, documentation review, and approval tracking.
- Strong data accuracy skills, including spreadsheet analysis, variance analysis, and exception resolution.
- Ability to use sound judgment around confidentiality, especially when work needs escalation rather than assumption.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting or working within tours-and-activities, travel, or related marketplaces (connecting travelers, travel advisors, tour operators, excursions, transfers, bookings, and partners).
- Familiarity with audit support practices and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $43,000–$68,000 per year
Location
- 100% remote within the United States
