Overview

This role involves serving as a Business Advisory Manager specializing in Transactions. The position focuses on assisting clients with critical business decisions by providing insights, innovative solutions, and leveraging experience in buy-side, sell-side, and quality of earnings due diligence reviews. The team supports privately held companies, public companies, investors, private equity firms, and lenders.

Flexible work arrangements are offered based on location. Candidates in Pittsburgh, PA or Columbus, OH will follow a hybrid work model combining remote and office work. Applicants located elsewhere in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, or Virginia who are willing to travel as needed may work fully remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Execute financial and operational due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and management buyouts
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits, engaging with top-level management to gather and assess financial information
  • Prepare detailed financial analyses to support client acquisition decisions and financing requirements
  • Develop and review financial forecasts
  • Analyze financial statements to evaluate sustainability of performance
  • Prepare proposals and engagement letters
  • Manage multiple projects against deadlines and organize time effectively
  • Collaborate with other practice areas including audit, tax, and consulting
  • Participate in valuation, forensic, and investigative projects as needed
  • Represent the organization at fundraisers, meetings with prospects and bankers, charitable events, and professional organizations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Audit, Consulting, and/or Transactions
  • CPA and/or CM&MA credentials preferred but not required
  • Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Occasional travel may be required
