Overview
This role is for an experienced Oracle Business Analyst with a strong background in finance. Reporting to the Director of ERP & Business Applications, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across borders to improve and optimize enterprise systems. The work is focused on implementing and enhancing Oracle EBS solutions to transform financial operations.
Remote work is available from anywhere in the United States, primarily during East Coast hours (8AM – 5PM).
Responsibilities
- Understand, evaluate, analyze, and document finance-related business processes including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Tax, and Audit.
- Assess complex business processes, break them into subprocesses, and communicate solutions to both business and technical teams.
- Use best practices to drive organizational change through business process re-engineering.
- Validate and document business needs, identifying gaps between out-of-the-box solutions and customizations.
- Support business units with process improvements through data analysis and system enhancements.
- Design and implement Oracle solutions for financial reporting, invoicing, tax compliance (Vertex), and electronic billing (Billtrust).
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure Oracle configurations meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audit processes and JSOX compliance through accurate documentation and system controls.
- Lead workshops to gather financial requirements and translate them into Oracle specifications.
- Develop and execute test plans for financial modules to ensure data integrity and process accuracy.
- Manage financial enhancement projects utilizing ServiceNow ITBM.
- Provide training and ongoing support to finance users on Oracle functionalities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial processes to support audits and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Business Analyst (R12), with a focus on finance modules.
- Extensive experience analyzing financial processes, configuring Oracle applications, and preparing compliance documentation.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and tax systems.
- Proficiency in developing business cases and ROI analyses for system enhancements.
- Experience with business process modeling, requirements analysis, and implementation methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with ServiceNow ITBM and SDLC methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
- Ability to work primarily East Coast hours (8AM – 5PM).
