Overview
The organization is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join the Finance team in a role spanning financial planning & analysis and capital markets. This position owns core forecasting and planning cycles, builds portfolio- and merchant-level analytics that support strategic decisions, and helps support execution of the funding strategy and lender relationships.
Reporting to the Director of FP&A and partnering day-to-day with the VP of FP&A and VP of Capital Markets, this role provides breadth across forecasting & statistical modeling, unit economics, and asset-backed financing.
Responsibilities
Business & Portfolio Analytics
- Build merchant- and product-level unit economics and net cash flow analysis to inform pricing, growth, and capital allocation decisions
- Use SQL and large operational datasets to build data models, dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Snowsight), and self-serve reporting
- Support monthly financial review materials and ad-hoc analyses for executive questions
- Monitor competitor and market performance and synthesize implications for the business
Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Support quarterly Outlook forecasts and the annual budget and plan, covering originations, portfolio performance, and profitability
- Build and maintain components of the corporate forecasting model, including portfolio performance analysis across payment behavior, delinquency roll rates, and charge-offs
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions and stress-test liquidity positions
- Analyze variances versus budget and outlook, translating drivers into clear narratives for senior leadership
Capital Markets
- Support the VP of Capital Markets in managing asset-backed debt facilities, including covenant compliance monitoring, borrowing base reporting, and analyses supporting draws and repayments
- Help prepare investor and lender communications, portfolio analyses, and materials for investor meetings
- Develop credit performance forecasts (e.g., delinquency, prepayment behavior) to inform funding strategy and capital planning
- Research capital markets trends, funding innovations, and peer strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Risk, Accounting, Sales, and Operations to align forecasts, metrics, and reporting logic
- Improve internal processes, automate workflows, and leverage modern tooling (including AI) to increase the speed and accuracy of analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a quantitative field
- 2–5 years of experience in data/business analytics, FP&A, strategic finance, capital markets, investment banking, or financial services analytics
- Expertise in writing SQL for data analysis, metric reporting/tracking, and creating datasets
- Experience working with large, complex datasets to tackle ambiguous, open-ended problems
- Strong analytical curiosity—digging into data to identify root causes and actionable insights
- Ability to support multiple senior stakeholders and prioritize across competing workstreams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into concise takeaways
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous problems and evolving priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer finance, particularly subprime or non-prime lending
- Foundational knowledge of asset-backed lending, securitization, and debt capital markets
- Python experience for financial analysis and forecasting
- Demonstrated experience using BI tools (e.g., Tableau) to build dashboards and track KPIs
- Experience applying AI tools to accelerate analysis and reporting
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $101,000–$131,000 per year (depending on experience and location)

Location
