Overview
The organization is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Financial Analyst to support a medical device manufacturing environment in a fully remote capacity. This role involves designing, maintaining, and optimizing IT infrastructure while developing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for infrastructure investments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for infrastructure investments, including CapEx, OpEx, and ROI evaluations
- Connect infrastructure strategy to financial performance through oversight of multi-region budgets, variance analysis, and risk mitigation
- Evaluate vendor proposals, service agreements, and technology quotes to ensure cost-effective and compliant solutions
- Coordinate and maintain comprehensive IT infrastructure roadmaps across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and data storage systems
- Partner with manufacturing, R&D, security, and regulatory teams to align infrastructure planning with business priorities and product lifecycle requirements
- Support capacity planning by identifying constraints, bottlenecks, and opportunities for scalability and reliability improvements
- Lead strategic planning sessions, workshops, and operational mechanisms to align infrastructure priorities with organizational goals
- Identify and mitigate IT risks related to cybersecurity, data integrity, system downtime, and compliance
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades, migrations, documentation, and maintain audit-ready records to support operational efficiency and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering) or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 8-12 years of related experience or Master’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience; PhD candidates with 2-4 years of experience are also considered
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure areas including virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), networking, storage, and system reliability
- Experience with vendor management, including assessments, performance reviews, contract negotiations, and SLA management
- Knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar standards
- Familiarity with manufacturing and enterprise systems such as MES, ERP, or Oracle EBS
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Project or service management experience with certifications such as Scrum, Agile, PMP, or ITIL preferred
- Experience supporting infrastructure in global, multi-site, or highly regulated environments is advantageous
