Overview

A professional services firm located in Leawood, Kansas, is seeking an accounting professional to join their team. The firm provides advisory services including tax, accounting, part-time CFO, and business formation services. Recently partnered with a platform that supports regional accounting firms with resources such as growth capital, talent acquisition, training, technology, AI tools, and shared back-office services, the firm is positioned for innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal team members to address client questions, provide insights, and offer advice
• Prepare and review financial statements
• Manage month-end responsibilities
• Provide guidance on financial best practices and help clients optimize their operations
• Mentor and guide junior staff
• Assist with internal projects, process improvements, and operational tasks

Required Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with accounting software
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
