Overview

This role involves managing the Sales Commission process within the Strategic Finance team. The Commissions Manager will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and fairness in commission structures, directly influencing sales team motivation and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily execution of the Sales Commission process, including managing Sales Performance Incentive Funds (SPIFs) and ensuring timely, accurate commission calculations.
  • Coordinate changes to Sales Incentive Plans (SIPs) across Sales, Solutioning, BDR, and Channel teams, collaborating with Sales leadership, HR, Finance, and Business Operations.
  • Address and resolve commission dispute tickets promptly, escalate issues when necessary, and document resolutions to maintain legal and audit compliance.
  • Conduct regular root cause analyses of dispute tickets to identify trends and improve commission processes.
  • Implement plan changes using the commissions tool (Spiff), ensuring accurate adjustments that promote desired sales behaviors.
  • Monitor and manage commission data in Spiff, finalizing and freezing data by the 15th of each month to enable timely payroll processing.
  • Adhere to company policies, including data handling agreements, business ethics, and compliance training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in technology or telecommunications.
  • Strong knowledge of commission structures, incentive plans, and sales compensation principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance in financial data management and dispute resolution.
  • Proficiency with Spiff, Salesforce, and Excel.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
