Overview
This role ensures accurate, timely billing to customers and supports the prompt cycling of outstanding billing work. The position supports monthly and quarterly performance goals by helping maintain work in progress below a defined threshold while maintaining high-quality, timely completion of work.
Billing is tiered into two levels: Coordinator and Lead. The Lead level is expected to perform both coordinator and lead responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Enter daily production information.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing and invoices.
- Resolve billing issues and address customer concerns as quickly as possible.
- Manage job approaching reports, including top dollar and unbilled aging reports.
- Resubmit denied CUPS.
- Send daily DVS emails.
- Understand contracts and billable items, including materials and other billing-related items.
- Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly billing goals.
- Complete other billing and office-related tasks as assigned by the direct manager (office-dependent; may include support with some payroll-related items).
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
- Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
- May be required to work after hours, on weekends, or be on-call as work is needed.
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of office-related experience.
- Billing experience required.
- Telecommunications experience preferred.
- Any combination of education and/or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or drawing form; handle and understand problems involving different variables in varied situations; collect, organize, disseminate, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and apply basic math concepts including algebra.
- Language Skills:
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as program manuals and process procedures.
- Ability to write reports and communicate information.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers, internal/external vendors, coworkers, management and staff at all levels, and the general public.
Software / Computer Requirements
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- General computer knowledge.
Physical & Safety Requirements and Working Environment
- Duties require standing, crouching, sitting, bending, and using hands and fingers to handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
- Noise level in the work environment is low.
- May be required to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds in a shift.
- May be exposed to adverse weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures, icy or wet roads, rain, snow, or sleet; changes in terrain; and urban or rural settings.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
