Overview
This is a fully remote Corporate Controller role.
The organization operates in the on-demand healthcare industry, providing urgent care clinics across the U.S. The team uses software to streamline clinic operations, improve patient access, and enhance the overall care experience.
The Corporate Controller leads and optimizes the accounting function to support financial integrity and operational efficiency. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strengthens internal controls, builds scalable processes, and develops a high-performing accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of accounting, including:
- General ledger
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Payroll
- Fixed assets
- Revenue accounting
- Month-end close
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee close activities and improve consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Evaluate and enhance accounting processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Design standardized processes to ensure organizational consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues affecting customers and financial reporting.
- Improve accounting data quality through better workflows and system use.
- Optimize financial systems and identify automation opportunities.
- Develop controls to reduce risk while enabling efficient operations.
- Lead initiatives to improve billing and invoicing accuracy.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
- Establish performance metrics and promote a culture of ongoing process refinement.
- Partner with the CFO to advance the accounting function aligned with long-term objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
- Experience leading accounting teams in private equity or complex environments preferred.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
- Proven success improving accounting operations and process standardization.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar systems preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on problem-solving.
- Experience managing PCAOB audit processes.

- Compensation: $150,000–$200,000, based on experience.
