Overview

This role involves proactive management of a portfolio of customers by gathering relevant information and manually analyzing buyers according to established criteria. The Credit Analyst will conduct financial and credit analysis to determine appropriate credit ratings and maintain ongoing communication with buyers and banks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain buyer portfolio within agreed parameters using solid credit analysis procedures.
  • Conduct financial and credit analysis to assign proper credit ratings.
  • Perform phone interviews to gather necessary information for buyer evaluation.
  • Maintain multiple contacts with buyers through calls to purchasers and banks.
  • Examine industry conditions and present exposure data to recommend portfolio adjustments.
  • Communicate underwriting requirements, industry outlooks, and target markets with Sales Agents, Commercial Underwriters, and clients.
  • Assist in developing industry sector outlooks using public and proprietary data to identify market trends.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance; MBA preferred.
  • 2-4 years of financial management experience in banking, credit insurance brokerage, or credit insurance environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including financial software and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with third parties.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Risk Underwriting teams.
  • Basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and enthusiasm for learning and integrating AI into business processes, including familiarity with Generative AI, Data Analysis, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Total compensation range: $85,000 - $95,000, based on experience, skills, and location.
  • Competitive salary with annual bonus eligibility and/or commission opportunities.
