Overview
- Role: Credit Investment Analyst
- Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
- Compensation: $100 - $200/hour
This contract position involves applying expertise in credit and debt investing to assist in training advanced AI systems. The analyst will evaluate and analyze a wide range of credit instruments, providing high-quality, real-world input to improve AI model performance in the finance domain.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze credit instruments such as high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and structured credit products.
- Conduct underwriting and due diligence reviews, assessing capital structures, covenants, and liquidity profiles.
- Develop and refine cash flow, 3-statement, LBO, and downside/stress-case models to assess default risk, recovery analysis, sponsor quality, and refinancing risks.
- Analyze spreads, yields, and relative value opportunities across public and private credit markets to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
- Review complex legal documentation, focusing on covenant packages and protections for various credit structures.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in credit and debt investing.
- Strong understanding of underwriting, leveraged financing, and private credit.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough underwriting and due diligence reviews.
- Experience developing and refining financial models including cash flow, 3-statement, LBO, and stress-case scenarios.
- Ability to analyze spreads, yields, and relative value opportunities in credit markets.
- Strong knowledge of covenant review, capital structure, and cash flow analysis.
