Overview
A financial institution specializing in innovative banking solutions is seeking an Associate to support Relationship Managers and the Risk Management team. This full-time role focuses on promoting banking products and services to Financial Institutions clients while managing risks associated with these offerings. The position involves evaluating client transactions, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing and nurturing business relationships by promoting bank products and services tailored to client needs and opportunities.
- Evaluate client transactions and negotiate terms with banking partners and prospective clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence and credit investigations, including preparing Know Your Customer (KYC) reports, CMS, and Actimize operations.
- Support preparation of credit ratings and credit line applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in financial and credit analysis, compiling detailed credit application reports for review and approval.
- Monitor the credit application and approval process, ensuring adherence to timelines and procedures.
- Coordinate with Treasury, GCMS operations, and other teams to facilitate closing processes, including preparing facility information sheets and funding arrangements.
- Align strategic, capital, and financial plans with risk management objectives to mitigate potential risks.
- Perform loan classifications and transactional portfolio monitoring to identify potential issues.
- Proactively identify signs of loan deterioration and collaborate with credit departments to adjust credit ratings or asset classifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, finance, business, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred, particularly in credit analysis or client-facing roles within banking or non-banking financial institutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills are a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, research, and financial statement evaluation skills.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
