Overview
This tax and advisory firm specializes exclusively in serving physicians, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and specialists who run their own practices. Responsibilities
- Prepare individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120-S, 1065) for physician clients
- Build and maintain workpapers and supporting documentation
- Assist with tax planning calculations including estimated payments, retirement contributions, and scenario analysis
- Communicate with clients alongside Tax Managers to ensure smooth engagement progress
- Manage your own pipeline, keep client records up to date, and proactively identify potential issues
Requirements
- Enrolled Agent designation or CPA license required
- Minimum of 2 years experience preparing tax returns
- Experience with 1040, 1120-S, and 1065 tax returns
- Working knowledge of S-Corp tax strategies such as reasonable compensation, Augusta Rule, retirement plan optimization, and entity election planning
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
