Overview
This role involves supporting the accounting and payroll teams by managing expense processing, auditing, and reconciliation for an organization with approximately 1,000 employees. The position is initially 30-40 hours per week and requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Review and process employee expense reports
- Audit expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies
- Prepare weekly payment lists for accounting
- Export expense data into NetSuite and reconcile processed payments
- Program expense submission and approval workflows in Expensify
- Produce accounting-related reports
- Assist senior management in documenting corporate procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Expensify and NetSuite preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Ability to self-manage and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule
Travel
- Up to 10% travel may be required
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work involving substantial use of wrists, hands, and fingers for at least 8 hours daily
- Close visual acuity required for computer work and extensive reading
Compensation & Benefits
- Remote work primarily (U.S. based only); some travel or on-site work may be required for certain roles
